Stress in the workplace is a constant. We are stressed by our colleagues, clients, systems, bureaucracy, computers, to name a few. It seems that the two factors that contribute most to stress are time constraints and the inability to complete a task properly.
A few typical scenarios:
I spent a week of my blood, sweat and tears to prepare a presentation. It ended up being a disaster because I didn't have time to practice.
My colleague was supposed to attend a meeting, but at the last moment, they called in sick. In fact, they simply weren't confident enough to speak English at the meeting. But I had to cover the meeting anyway, putting me behind on everything else.
I've just started back to work after a few years off to start a family. I haven't spoken professional language in six years- and now my company has gone international and I need to do it in English.
Imagine a workplace where we build a presentation quickly and practice rigorously, where staff are given appropriate tasks and trained to cover new tasks, where we return to international business with confidence.
The time and energy saved by dealing with all of these problems before they arise creates a sense of well-being throughout the organization.
Fuller Interactions wants to help you and your colleagues focus time and energy on aspects of your job that really make an impact.
