I'm officially back in job search mode. It's time for me to pass my sales and marketing hat on to a company that can sell the services I'm good at.


So what is it that I’m good at and enjoy? Helping people to reach their goals, helping people to do a skill more effectively, helping people to stretch toward their potential.


I have 10 to 15 years to offer to the right company. Coaching/training/teaching and editing are what clients have raved about:

Communication skills: All advice I give is couched in the framework provided by the client. We set goals and map out a strategy to get there. I have designed and delivered presentation, writing and negotiation courses tailored for the situation.


Copy-editing: In the age of AI, there is still a need to make sure that the copy, whether produced by machine or human, feels right. I also see my editing as a type of coaching: if my client sees me correcting the same thing regularly enough, perhaps that bad habit will disappear! 


Cross-culture: I am certified on the Lewis Model of culture and am now in the middle of the Culture Factor Group’s Intercultural Management Certification, based on Hofstede’s model. And I’ve lived, worked and survived  across cultures for 35 years.


Organizational culture: By the end of the year, I’ll be certified to deliver the Culture Factor Group’s Organisational Culture as a tool.


Format: It all depends on the client. Remote, in-person, one session and done, weekly, daily. Whatever fits their needs and their budget.


Location: Thanks to the wonders of today’s telecoms, I’m not tied to the Helsinki area or even to Finland. I’ve learned that remote tools can be exploited in ways that whiteboards can’t. And vice versa!  


I’m looking for a company that will be able to put these skills to work and retire my sales and marketing hat!
